We are looking for a Coordinator, Major Innovation Projects to support the Dairy Bio and Dairy Feedbase joint ventures and to assist with the communications, engagement, extension and co-ordination of activities within these significant research and innovation programmes.

 The Role

DairyBio was established in 2016 as a major investment in dairy bioscience. The core investment proposition is to generate large-scale impacts for Australian dairy farmers through the advanced and industrial-scale application of biological sciences.

DairyFeedbase was established in 2017 as a major investment in transformation of the dairy feedbase. The core investment proposition is to generate step change for Australian dairy farmers through the advanced development, application and deployment of transformational feeding, nutrition and feed management insights and tools.

We are looking for a Coordinator, Major Innovation Projects to support the Dairy Bio and Dairy Feedbase joint ventures and to assist with the communications, engagement, extension and co-ordination of activities within these significant research and innovation programmes.

Key responsibilities include (however not limited to):

  • Implementation of the communication and engagement plan coordinating with a number of Dairy Australia teams
  • Regular and co-ordinated interaction with the DairyBio and DairyFeedbase teams to stay abreast of their activities and identify opportunities to include them in the communication and engagement plans
  • Support communication in the research teams, Regions and the Dairy Australia Farm team
  • Scheduling events to enable extension activities and opportunities coordinating with Dairy Australia teams
  • Arranging marketing and profiling material for press releases, videos, podcasts and social media activity
  • Maintaining a dynamic website for both DairyBio and DairyFeedbase
  • Organising education and industry mentoring activities and open days
  • Provide support to the Co-directors

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Prior experience with Research, Science and Innovation and extension
  • Experience working in the agricultural industry
  • Demonstrated ability to successful participate as a member for a project team and manage multiple competing priorities
  • Experience in event planning, coordination and management
  • Tertiary qualification in a related field would be highly advantageous
