The Company

Dairy Australia is the national services body for the Australian dairy industry. We act as the collective investment arm of the industry, investing in essential research, development, extension and industry services. 

The Role

Western Dairy is looking for a highly effective, resilient and proactive team member who is passionate for optimising dairy pastures and feeding systems, motivated to question existing processes and help find ways to improve them.

To be considered for this role, you will have the following:

  • Relevant qualifications in agricultural science disciplines
  • A passion for pasture research and demonstration field work and the practical analysis of such
  • A great capacity to communicate learnings to a farmer audience
  • You will be familiar with pasture and animal nutrition research protocols
  • Including having the proven ability to organise and deliver complex logistics around pasture trial research sites.

Dairy biosecurity

Dairy biosecurity is vital for protecting your farm. Dairy farmers and their advisors now have access to a new online biosecurity tool to build their skills and adapt their management approach to biosecurity risks.

Hay and grain reports

The hay and grain report is commissioned by Dairy Australia to provide an independent and timely assessment of hay and grain markets in each dairying region. The report is updated 40 weeks per year.
