Dairy Australia - Dairy information for Australian Dairy Farmers and the industry

Primary content

DairyBase is a web-based tool designed for dairy farmers and their advisers to measure and compare their farm business performance over time.

DairyBase

DairyBase enables farmers to create annual reports and forecasts and helps to identify opportunities to drive profit and manage risk. Farmers are equipped to make better informed decisions using DairyBase and generate comparative analysis according to farm size, region and production system.

How to access DairyBase

To register and find out more, go to DairyBase.

DairyBase has been running since 2015 and currently has 2,500 users (of which 1,800 are farmers) jointly managing more than 10,000 unique data sets.

Dairy farmers can access guides on how to use DairyBase, training and education opportunities, and case studies to demonstrate how farmers are using DairyBase as part of managing their farm business.

Why DairyBase was created

Every on-farm decision is made based on a combination of experience, data, and gut feel. Independent and reliable data to support on-farm decisions is often hard to find. Dairy Australia works with farmers and the broader industry to establish common language, terminology and metrics about farm performance, and provides tools like DairyBase that equip farmers to measure and track their farm performance. This enables dairy farmers to better understand where they sit compared to others, informing future decisions.
