Primary content

We work with industry and natural resource management partners to help you manage your fertiliser application and soil and effluent issues. Read our tips and visit our Fert$mart and Dairying for Tomorrow websites for more information.

Nutrient management can boost your farm business profits. Dairy Australia works with various industry and natural resource management partners to help dairy farmers manage fertiliser application and associated soil health and effluent issues.

Many farmers who get soil and fertiliser management '€˜right'€™ can produce more feed at no extra cost.

With careful planning, fertiliser becomes a strategic tool to boost feed when it'€™s most needed. Fert$mart provides farmers and advisors with a planning approach and the know-how to achieve this.

Directory of accredited providers

Agriculture Victoria maintains a directory of accredited private sector providers who provide effluent design services for dairy farmers.

Anaerobic Digesters

Anaerobic digesters are attracting interest among dairy farmers. However research to date suggests they are unlikely to be viable for pasture based dairy systems.

Our Farm, Our Plan

Our Farm, Our Plan is a new program designed to equip farmers to clarify their long term goals, identify the actions needed and to manage uncertainty and risk.

Hay and grain reports

The hay and grain report is commissioned by Dairy Australia to provide an independent and timely assessment of hay and grain markets in each dairying region. The report is updated 40 weeks per year.
